- The Berlin-based DJ/producer will release Frequent Forrest Turn on Time Passages in June.
Onur Özer is gearing up to release his first solo 12-inch in three years, Frequent Forrest Turn.
Due out on Binh's Time Passages label, the four-track EP is Özer's first solo record since the Karade EP for Slovenian outlet Gilesku Records in 2013. He's released two records alongside Binh as Treatment in the meantime (including a self-titled album last year) and remained an active DJ, spinning weekly at clubs across Europe. As Özer recently told us, he's made plenty of solo tracks over the past few years, but hasn't shipped them around to labels.
Frequent Forrest Turn arrives under a new alias, Onur. Its sound is a little different than what you'll find across Özer's more linear earlier catalogue, which is spread across labels like Vakant and Cocoon. The new record is spacey and jacking, and not too far removed from the warped electro and techno Özer spins in his sets these days. It's due out in June.
