- The Cologne-based producer will release his debut full-length as a digital-only release on his own Niveous Tracks imprint.
Maik Loewen is set to launch his own label in order to release his debut full-length.
You may have heard of the Cologne-based producer from his previous twelve-inch releases on the likes of Poker Flat, Trapez and Karmarouge, but Loewen will be ditching the established labels that have helped make his name in order to concentrate on his own Niveous Tracks label. His Back In The Days album will be the first release on the digital-only imprint and will see the producer experiment with various different styles within the minimal house spectrum. Atmospheric dubbiness (album opener "Basement Stories"), dark tribal rollers ("My Old Couch") and even skippy UK garage-esque beats ("Let's Go My Friend") all feature, while there's plenty of bright melody lines elsewhere on the record that should appeal to fans of his previous material.
