Hot Chip, Booka Shade, Matthew Herbert and more have also been confirmed for the French festival.
More than fifty acts have been confirmed for Nuits Sonores, the annual Spring festival in Lyon, France.
As in previous years, the lineup presents a diverse mix of big name DJs, experimental indie bands and just about everything in between. On the house and techno front, headliners include Laurent Garnier, Joris Voorn, Paul Kalkbrenner, Dixon, Seth Troxler and Claude VonStroke. New York house producer Dennis Ferrer will also get behind the decks, along with Clara Moto, Dominik Eulberg and Matias Aguayo. Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock will bring the murky Ostgut vibe, while Prins Thomas, Todd Terje, Lindstrom & Christabelle offer up the soaring disco sounds of Norway. Experimental house pioneer Matthew Herbert will also make an appearance, along with French jocks like Chloé and Agoria.
The festival will also include day parties at Piscine du Rhone, such as Kill The Dj with Ivan Smagghe, Optimo, Pilooski and Jennifer Cardini, as well as Body and Soul with Francois K, Danny Krivit and Joe Claussell.
Fans of French-style filter house will have plenty to look forward to, with Feadz, Busy P, and Vitalic v. Mirror. On the more hip-hop influenced tip, quirky Glaswegian Hudson Mohawke will mix things up a bit, and prolific production duo UNKLE will perform live.
Meanwhile, Nuits Sonores also has some impressive rock bands on offer, such as British post-punk pioneers Gang of Four and massive-eyeball-headed avant-garde weirdos The Residents. Liars, Glass Candy and A Place to Bury Strangers will keep things dark and edgy, while The Go! Team and Trans Am provide sunnier soundtracks for the rock kids to groove to. Hot on the heels of his forthcoming album, Jamie Lidell will showcase his highly theatrical stage performance. Finally, indie-electronic favorites Hot Chip will do their best to bridge the gaps in Nuits Sonores' diverse programming.
