- The Boulder festival will join forces with its Belgrade counterpart for an upcoming North American tour.
America's Communikey and Serbia's Dis-patch festivals have announced details of a collaborative 60-day tour, under the banner of ViceVerse.
Communikey may have taken place last weekend in Boulder, Colorado, and Belgrade's Dis-patch is still over six months away, but the festival pair have decided to spread their combined musical messages with a 60-day tour of US and Canadian cities. The idea is for the duo to visit festivals within the I.C.A.S. (International Cities of Advanced Sound) network, the group of 30 festivals from around the globe who meet annually at Berlin's CTM and Montreal's Mutek.
Things got underway last week with an event in Communikey's Colorado home town, and will continue this evening in Montana at the Badlander venue in Missoula. Full details of the upcoming events are yet to be determined, but stops in Seattle, San Diego, Austin, Philadelphia, New York and Montreal have been planned, with performances from White Rainbow, Sutekh, David Last, Joshua Kit Clayton, Smirk and alala.one all confirmed thus far. A strong emphasis will also be placed on collaboration with local artists at each of the dates, so in addition to Communikey and Dis-patch mainstays, attendees should expect plenty of unique shows featuring live music, audio visual shows and DJ sets.
