Octave One, Henrik Schwarz and Mathew Johnson will all appear across the various January bills.
The details for the 2011 edition of the annual Sydney festival have been announced, seeing a small batch of dance acts set to perform, with nights hosted by Mad Racket, Future Classic and Picnic scheduled.
Kicking off in early January, next year's calendar features plenty of electronic, indie and world music artists, most of whom will be embarking on national tours around the country as well. Mad Racket and Future Classic have been regulars at the Sydney Festival for several years now. The former, a party that celebrated its 12th year of operation just two weeks ago, have locked in the Octave One brothers for a set of edgy Detroit techno at the Beck's Festival Bar. Local label Future Classic will play host to German deep house jock Henrik Schwarz, while disco institution Picnic have nabbed DJ Harvey and DJ Garth for their first Sydney Festival showcase.
Other artists set to appear include Wagon Repair boss Mathew Jonson and his Cobblestone Jazz live project, Melbourne-based indie experimentalist Gotye and Stones Throw vocalist and producer Aloe Blacc.
