- The Japanese label's second ambient collection includes new songs from Kassem Mosse, Donato Dozzy and a Terre Thaemlitz remix of John Cage.
This May, Mule Electronic will release their next ambient collection, Enjoy the Silence Vol. 2.
The album comes two years after Enjoy the Silence Vol. 1, a collection that enlisted mostly house and techno producers (Minilogue, DJ Koze, Lawrence, Vince Watson) to produce atmospheric, beatless tracks. Many of those same names appear on Vol.2, though the collection overall has a slightly stronger avant-garde influence. Max Loderbauer and Tobias Freund contribute a track as nsi., and Mule staple Terre Thaemlitz delivers a 14-minute interpretation of a John Cage piece which, according to a press release, will also be included on an upcoming John Cage remix collection. Donato Dozzy and Kassem Mosse both deliver downbeat techno tracks, with the latter debuting a new pseudonym, Seltene Erden.
All of the tracks on Enjoy the Silence Vol. 2 are previously unreleased. It will be available digitally and on CD, with an abridged 8-track version due out on vinyl next month.
