The NYC label will have two showcases in August featuring Legowelt and more.
San Francisco promoter No Way Back will hold two label showcases for L.I.E.S. in San Francisco and Los Angeles this August.
L.I.E.S. (Long Island Electrical Systems) was founded in New York City in 2010 by Ron Morelli, and since then has released EPs from more well-known acts like Dutchman Danny Wolfers (under his Legowelt alias) and NYC's Maxmillion Dunbar, in addition to helping shed new light on more obscure acts such as XOSAR and Terekke.
Each label showcase will have a slightly different lineup, headed up by Legowelt. The San Francisco show will take place first on August 17th at Public Works, featuring Chicago's Svenghalisghost (whose Mind Control EP came out earlier this year), and Dutch L.I.E.S. signee XOSAR, both of whom will perform live sets along with Wolfers. DJ support will come from Ron Morelli and No Way Back residents Conor and Solar. Advance tickets are available for purchase on RA.
The Los Angeles showcase, happening the evening after on the 18th at a TBA location, will feature Legowelt plus live sets from NYC's Steve Summers and LA local Anzano. DJ support will again come from Morelli, Conor and Solar, plus an extra in the form of another local, Junior.
