- The pioneer electronic group will play one album per night in their homecity early next year. Tickets go on sale this Saturday.
Kraftwerk will play a series of career-spanning concerts early next year in their homecity of Düsseldorf.
Entitled "Der Katalog – 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8," the series follows the same format as Kraftwerk's 2012 residency at the MoMA in New York. Over the course of eight nights, the band will run through eight of their albums in chronological order (Autobahn, Radio-Activity, Trans Europe Express, The Man Machine, Computer World, Techno Pop (Electric Cafe), The Mix and Tour De France), throwing in additional songs from the rest of their catalog along the way. Each show will feature 3-D visuals.
The concerts wil take place at Düsseldorf's Kunstsammlung NRW. Tickets go on sale this Saturday at 10:00 AM central European time (this is worth remembering if you plan on attending—tickets for the MoMA series sold out in a matter of minutes). You can buy them via tickets.de.
