- 7even Recordings will release the Japanese producer's first full-length in April.
Ena will release his debut album, Bilateral, in April through 7even Recordings.
The Tokyo-based multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ first revealed news of the album in the Q&A that accompanied his RA Podcast last May. His sound is a blend of high-tempo bass music that incorporates elements of dubstep and drum & bass, taking its cues from the early UK-based protagonists of those genres. The album will come out via French label 7even, which has put out several Ena 12-inches. One of those EPs, Purported, was described by RA's Andrew Ryce as "twitchy high-tempo tracks [that] sound like a sea of spiders scuttling away." The album is billed by the label as "the soundtrack of today’s Tokyo underground," and will be released with liner notes from Ena that explain his production process.
