Melbourne promoters Darkbeat will celebrate their 10th anniversary with a three-disc compilation this May.
The party has long been a techno and house institution in Victoria, hosting acts like Sven Väth, Sasha, Derrick Carter and James Zabiela. Now the company are venturing into the record business, launching Darkbeat Recordings with a triple mix album. Each of the three discs will be mixed by one Melbourne jock, including local staple Anthony Pappa, Darkbeat founder Daniel Banko AKA Rollin Connection and long-standing resident Phil K. The label's prime focus will be a series of Darkbeat branded compilations, but artist releases will also be on the agenda.
