- The debut album from the electronic six-piece is out next month through Freude am Tanzen.
Karocel will release their debut album, Plaited, on Freude am Tanzen this June.
The six-piece is formed from the backbone of Marbert Rocel, a live electronic group known for their work on Compost Records. Karocel finds them collaborating with Vakant boss Mathias Kaden and percussionist Michael Nagler. They all gathered in the studio last fall for a series of jam sessions that were eventually ironed out into Plaited's ten tracks—two of which, "This One" and "It's Me," appeared on Karocel's debut EP last month. The group says they didn't use any overdubs or post-production on the record, and they designed their own artwork for the release.
