- Ben Westbeech's edition of the !K7 mix series is due out in November.
Ben Westbeech, AKA Breach, has mixed the next edition of DJ-Kicks.
The news comes two weeks on from the announcement that John Talabot is also mixing an edition of !K7's long-running series. The mix pulls together material from Fred P, CLOSE and Dopplereffekt, and there's the requisite exclusive track from Westbeech himself in the shape of "Beroving." There's also a 1994 track by Josh Wink (recorded as Winx) that Westbeech picked up cheaply at a second-hand shop. "My friend owns six or seven record shops in Holland. That track is something I found there," he explains. "It’s €2 a record and there are rooms and rooms of untouched house music, disco and old rave. It’s insane. That track is something I found there. I’ve been playing it in my DJ sets and it always gets an amazing reaction."
