- The Bristol producer will release his second album in November.
Guido will drop a new album on November 4th.
Guy Middleton first appeared back in the late 2000s as one of the core proponents of what was then known as the purple sound of dubstep, emphasizing funk and melody at 140 BPM. Classically trained and a student of jazz, over his releases for Punch Drunk and his own State Of Joy label Middleton outlined a lush R&B-influenced sound complete with vocals and synth orchestration.
After releasing his debut album, Anidea, in 2011, Guido returns with a second full-length, this time on another Bristol institution—Pinch's Tectonic. Moods Of Future Joy features 11 new tracks and was reportedly written over the past 18 months, expanding on the last album's "synthed-out R&B," according to the press release.
Vocalist Emma Lou guests on two songs, including first single "Green-Eyed Monster," which you can stream here.
