This Saturday's event at Baby's All Right also has Prostitutes and Mondkopf on the lineup.
Truss, the UK purveyor of tough, acid-laced techno also known as MPIA3, will headline at Brooklyn venue Baby's All Right this Saturday.
Stateside shows for Truss are rare, and this one, presented by Industry of Machines with help from Ad Hoc, will mark his first time playing New York in a couple years. (It also looks to be his first local solo set, following previous joint appearances with Donor.) The night will feature two other out-of-town guests, each with their own take on heavy, abstract electronic music. Prostitutes, AKA Cleveland's James Donadio, will be appearing ahead of the release of his album Petit Cochon on Spectrum Spools, and the promoters promise "a ruthless live PA for the evening’s centrepiece." French artist Mondkopf, whose latest LP Hadès came out back in February, will complete the lineup, and it'll be his local debut.
Looking a little further ahead, the next Industry of Machines event will happen on Saturday, May 17th at Bossa Nova Civic Club. That one will showcase the sounds of locally based label Styles Upon Styles, with Brendon Moeller, Clay Wilson, Certain Creatures and Gut Noise all confirmed.
