- Two very different albums are up next on the Japanese label and its Endless Flight subsidary.
Mule Musiq has two new full-lengths on the way.
First up, landing April 6th on the Endless Flight sub-label, is an album from italo disco veteran Daniele Baldelli called Cosmic Drag. It follows up a 12-inch of the same name from late last year, and the label claims that the LP "[builds] a bridge between careless funky '70s vibes, offish '80s coolness and the freedom of the '90s rave culture," with a wide variety of influences taken from Baldelli's massive, 65,000-plus record collection.
The other release, on the Japanese imprint's main platform, comes from a Mule Musiq veteran—Kuniyuki, AKA Koss, who returns for another ambient outing. Silence is inspired by his love for jazz piano players, and the title doubles as a philosophy: "the listener does not find any club groove, overwhelming bass power or rhythmic dance attraction." The album consists mostly of downtempo grooves made with piano, a handful of hardware synths and software, finding "a simple and deep balance" between electronic and acoustic instrumentation. That one will come out April 27th.
