- The Petrol 12-inch and Clifford Darling, Please Don't Live In The Past LP will both arrive on October 8th.
Two more reissues of cult Australian electronic act Severed Heads will be released on October 8th via Dark Entries.
The San Francisco label is re-releasing Clifford Darling, Please Don't Live In The Past, an album originally released on Ink Records in 1985 to pull together "live recordings, raw demos, unreleased studio recordings and solo pieces" from the band's first five years of operation.
Also on the way is the Petrol EP. "Petrol" was released in 1986 on Nettwerk Records, but an earlier version of the song, titled "Lamborghini," was first recorded in 1981. That version, with vocals from Finoa Graham, appeared on a compilation titled Entrave Et Étouffement, From Australia... from 1982. Dark Entries' Petrol EP features two versions of "Petrol" and two versions of "Lamborghini."
Both records will come with the usual Dark Entries trimmings—a fold-out poster and liner notes on Clifford Darling, Please Don't Live In The Past , and a postcard with notes and original hand-written lyrics on Petrol. Dark Entries reissued a couple of Severed Heads-affiliated records in 2014, with a re-release of the band's most famous song, "Dead Eyes Opened," followed by 80s Cheesecake, which shone light on the solo work of Severed Heads' Tom Ellard.
These records will follow a Severed Heads US tour that begins on September 18th in San Francisco.
