- The experimental club trio will release their first full-length in August.
WWWINGS will release their debut LP, PHOENIXXX, via Planet Mu next month.
According to Planet Mu, the project consists of three members between the ages of 18 and 25: Russian producers LIT INTERNET and LIT EYNE as well as LIT DAW from Ukraine. Their March EP, which landed on the broad-minded bass music label Infinite Machine, got a favorable review from RA's Andrew Ryce.
The trio's approach to club music touches on black metal, industrial and cinematic sound design—influences that come through loud and clear on their debut album. Planet Mu calls it "impulsive, dystopian and dripping in cold, alien slime." PHOENIXXX features a number of familiar faces from the emergent experimental club scene: NON artist Chino Amobi as well as NAAFI members Imaabs and Lao, plus recent Hyperdub signee Endgame, as well as Symbols Records boss Kastle, among others.
