- The Noise In My Head sub-label has licensed 15 rare tracks spanning folk-pop, new wave and art music.
Melbourne label Efficient Space will release a new compilation, Sky Girl, on July 8th.
Launched back in August last year with an EP from Melbourne artist Braden Schlager, the Noise In My Head sub-label was set up to reissue obscure and little-heard music from Australia and abroad. The second Efficient Space release comes in the form of a 15-track collection which the label describes as "a deeply melancholic and sentimental journey through folk-pop, new wave and art music micro presses that span 1961-1991."
The music was selected by French collectors DJ Sundae (owner of imprints Idle Press and Hollie) and Julien Dechery. Sky Girl will be released in double-LP, CD and digital formats, with sleeve notes written by Ivan Smagghe.
