- The dubstep veteran will release his third long-player in the fall.
Distance's third album, Dynamis, will land on Tectonic Recordings in October.
Greg Sanders, one of dubstep's formative names, manages the label Chestplate Records, which has released eyes-down bass music records since the early '00s. He's put out two albums for Planet Mu, and notably mixed an instalment of the Dubstep Allstars series back in 2011. For his third LP, Dynamis, Sanders will return to Tectonic Recordings, who have released a handful of his 12-inches over the years. It's influenced by the productions of A$AP Ferg, Arca and FKA Twigs, he says, and sees him "veering away from his 140 BPM roots." MCs Killa P and Beezy feature on two of the album cuts.
"I wanted to portray my willingness to progress," he says of the album. "I totally embrace the positives and negatives of change. If you stay stationary within any artform you will surely fail. I named a track 'Fear Change' because most people would rather do anything other than change."
Listen to "Kingdoms Fall."
