- The Italian deep techno specialist's second full-length lands in late January.
Semantica will release the next LP from Claudio PRC, Volumi Dinamici, in January.
Volumi Dinamici will be Claudio Porceddu's second studio album, and it's set to arrive nearly five years after the Italian artist released his debut LP, Inner State, through Prologue—and about 15 months after he shared a free live album. He's had a couple one-off appearances on Semantica, including a contribution to the label's ten-year anniversary EP series this past summer.
Porceddu is known for a deep, dark style of techno influenced by his love of avant-garde and ambient music. Volumi Dinamici is described as a tribute to Luigi Russolo, a pioneering Futurist musician, painter and writer active in the early 20th century. (It's also the name of a Russolo painting from 1912.) We're told the album comprises "11 tracks accompanied by the same number of illustrations [which are] different from each other but characterized by a common technical and compositional approach." The 70-minute release, which features collaborations with Blazej Malinowski and Dino Sabatini, will come on CD and digital formats, as well as a double-vinyl version with eight cuts.
