- The German artist is linking up with Erased Tapes to put out his debut solo record.
Daniel Brandt has a solo album, titled Eternal Something, due out on Erased Tapes in March.
It'll be the first-ever solo record to come from Brandt, the German artist who's best known as the drummer for Brandt Brauer Frick, and it marks a move away from !K7, that instrumental trio's usual home, to Erased Tapes, an outlet for ambient and modern classical producers like Nils Frahm, Ólafur Arnalds and A Winged Victory For The Sullen. (The label, which turns 10 this year, is giving the A Winged Victory For The Sullen's Iris film score an LP release this month.)
Aside from some trombone parts, Brandt performed all instrumentation on Eternal Something himself, including percussion as well as guitar, bass, keyboards and synths. We're told he "spent the last year or so" teaching himself these new instruments.
Listen to album cut "Kale Me."
