  • Production of Behringer's clone of the Roland SH-101 synthesiser is underway. As has become customary, company founder Uli Behringer took to the Gearslutz forum for the announcement. Pre-production for the MS-101 has now commenced, with 50 initial units being built for quality control purposes. Barring mishaps, full production will begin in January. There's currently no word yet on price, but Behringer's clones of the Sequential Circuits Pro-1 and Moog's Minimoog Model D retail for around $300. Roland's SH-101 is a simple but iconic monophonic analogue synth produced in the early '80s. Prized for its sequencing capabilities and squelchy filter, its sound has marked countless dance music records. Roland released its own modernised take on the SH-101 back in August 2017.
