- The album is inspired by childhood memories from Sweden.
Johanna Knutsson has announced a new LP, Tollarp Transmission, out on Kontra-Musik in April.
The Swedish-born, Berlin-based artist wrote music based on her childhood memories of the south of Sweden, where she grew up "surrounded by fields, forests and silence." The album is named after her hometown Tollarp, and each track title also carries significance. For example, opener "Vramsån" refers to a stream close to the artist's Swedish home.
The label calls the album "a series of melancholic yet warm pictures of [Knutsson's] childhood."
