- First conceived in 2004, the project will allow the UK garage DJ to expand his horizons behind the decks.
DJ EZ has resurrected an old alias, Elvin Zedo, so he can start playing house and techno sets.
The name was first conceived in secret in 2004 as a way for DJ EZ, real name Otis Roberts, to play house and techno without interfering with his flourishing UK garage career. Today, in a video posted to Facebook, he unveiled himself, admitting that "house and techno has always had a special place in my heart."
He continues: "Those of you that have followed my journey may already know this and may remember that I played house and techno under the name of DJ Easy O in the early years. Now the time has come for me to reconnect with the music of my roots."
Roberts plans to DJ under both aliases from now on, starting with a ten-hour set for Boiler Room as Elvin Zedo on Sunday, February 24th.
