- The just-released LP, called Bought The Farm, is described as "Afro-Latinate jazz fusion" by the ambient-leaning label.
A producer called Mister Water Wet has just released his debut album on West Mineral Ltd., the label run by Brian Leeds, AKA Huerco S.
Bought The Farm is described as a "drifting, ambient, Afro-Latinate jazz fusion," and the label suggests a connection to the artist's Puerto Rican heritage. We don't know much about Mr. Wet, but that's typical of the acts on West Mineral Ltd.'s roster, who tend to keep a low public profile. According to the press release, the producer has been "a mentor of sorts" to Leeds.
The ten-track LP is the first of 2019 for West Mineral Ltd., which last year released an album by Pendant (an alias of Leeds') and several superb 12-inches, including uon's RA-recommended Untitled.
