  • Mica Levi has self-released a new solo album today, their first under their given name. Ruff Dog, which spans 11 tracks has a scuzzy, DIY feel, with Levi's vocals layered over live instrumentation. It's currently only available digitally. Though this is Levi's first solo full-length, they have composed soundtracks under their given name for films such as Under The Skin, Jackie and Monos. They are also part of three groups: CURL, Tirzah and Good Sad Happy Bad (FKA Micachu & The Shapes). Watch the videos for "Wings" and "Pain."
Revisit Levi's RA Sessions performance in 2015 as part of Micachu & The Shapes.
Tracklist 01. Ruff Dog 02. Kind of Strange 03. Wings 04. One Tear  05. Cold Eyes  06. Flower Bed 07. A plain-clothed Jimi Hendrix drives me to Newcastle. For some reason the trip will take 3 days and he is going to do it for £150. He drives really smoothly and only listens to one album which is by someone with Joy in their name. Joy's music is covers of classic rock songs but with all the edge smoothed off. We arrive in Brazil and I impress someone because I say obrigado. The same person asks me to find them an intern. I don't think I can but I try. I am nervous in the girls changing room and play trap songs loud off my phone. 08. Chains Baggy 09. Hi Gene 10. Pain 11. Ride Till We Die Ruff Dog is out now.
