The remastered version of the key French house LP is out in October.
Ed Banger Records will release a 25th anniversary edition of Motorbass's 1996 album, Pansoul.
The sole album from Etienne De Crécy and Philippe Cerboneschi's Motorbass was key to the development and eventual triumph of French house, innovating an approach to samples and filtering that would later be used by the likes of Daft Punk. Cerboneschi, AKA Philippe Zdar, would go on to form Cassius and produce and mix records for the likes of Phoenix, Beastie Boys and Cat Power before his tragic death in 2019.
The 25th-anniversary edition of Pansoul comprises a remastered version of the album pressed-up on a double 12-inch in an edition of 1,000, physical only.
