Coming in May 2022, the event will feature Jayda G, TSHA, Kevin Saunderson and more.
A new festival curated by Aluna will debut in New Orleans next year.
Taking place from May 27th through 30th at various venues across the city, Noir Fever will feature an all-Black lineup. Alongside Aluna (who also performs with George Reid as AlunaGeorge), there are slots for the likes of Jayda G, Kaytranada, Channel Tres, TYGAPAW, Kevin Saunderson, UNiiQU3, Austin Millz, Derrick Carter and TSHA.
"I've talked a lot about the future of dance music I want to see, so instead of waiting I created it," Aluna said on Twitter. "Since most mainstream dance festivals have decided to remain boringly un-inclusive, I've decided to book an all-Black lineup to make my dreams come true. By honouring dance music's heritage and getting a taste of the future, I want to reignite a much-needed connection back to what dance music is all about–creating a space where people from different communities come together, dance their hearts out and feel free to be themselves."
