  • Goethe-Institut exhibition Techno Worlds, which looks at the influence of techno on contemporary culture, is becoming a book. Out this June, the 300-page paperback explores techno's intersections with art, identity, pop culture, technology, philosophy, media consumption and clubbing. It has visual and written contributions from Carsten Nicolai (AKA Alva Noto), Chicks On Speed, Abdul Qadim Haqq, Ryoji Ikeda, DeForrest Brown, Jr., Robert Lippok and more. As an exhibition, Techno Worlds opened in Budapest in August 2021. Next week, it heads to Montreal, before hitting Houston, New York, Boston and Los Angeles. In 2023, it will travel to Mexico City, Montevideo, São Paulo and Warsaw. The exhibition was curated by German musicians Mathilde Weh and Justin Hoffmann alongside Berlin's Creamcake collective.
