- "We have to take a step back to assess the industry's ecosystem," the club said in a statement.
Yerevan club Poligraf is closing.
The team broke the news on Instagram earlier today, January 22nd, citing corruption and "long-term legal battles" with local authorities as the primary reasons. "We have to take a step back to assess the industry's ecosystem," the post read. "It no longer aligns with our core beliefs." There will be two more parties this weekend, details of which are TBA.
Open since 2019, Poligraf is one of Armenia's leading underground dance music venues. The club has previously hosted sets from the likes of Setaoc Mass, Grace Dahl and Blasha & Allatt, who performed alongside local DJs such as haramik and hessIless.
Last April, Poligraf was subjected to a violent police raid. In response, the club launched an online petition, urging the dance music community to support its return. It also raised funds to help the thousands of people who have been forcibly displaced from the war-torn Nagorno-Karabakh region.
