- English new-ravers Klaxons mix the latest volume in the Bugged Out series.
English new-ravers Klaxons mix the latest volume in the Bugged Out series, due in October.
Fresh from their Mercury Prize, the dayglo dance-rock act showcase two sides of their musical selves on the 2CD set, with CD1 focusing on clubbier grooves and CD2 digging into a selection of Klaxons influences. Clubwise, the mix features unknown (to us) names such as Pedro Campos, Overnoise and Blende - which surely they must be making up - while the influences disc ranges from the noisy rock of The Liars and Ariel Pink to 50's crooners Frankie Valli, Roy Orbison and Frankie Lymon. An ideal stocking stuffer for both your sullen teenage cousin and your granny then.
