Snowbombing is a British-organised ski'n'rave event that takes place on the slopes of Austria. Organisers fly in a bunch of UK DJs, live acts and indie bands (and some non-UK ones, too) for a week-long party at Mayrhofen, where you can expect odd Alpine entertainment such as a club built of ice as well as quintessential British pastimes such as pub quizzes, bingo and comedy nights.
First names have just been announced for the 2008 edition, and as in past years, expect to hear plenty of breaks (Annie Nightingale, Plump DJs, Tayo, The Scratch Perverts, Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kuts, The Freestylers, Soul of Man) and drum 'n' bass (DJ Marky, DJ Zinc, Marcus Intalex) alongside Snowbombing regulars such as James Zabiela and The Cuban Brothers. Best of the rest confirmed so far include Lee Burridge; Berliners Jesse Rose, Ewan Pearson and Sasse; cosmic discoists Prins Thomas, Lindstrom, Todd Terje; as well as an Institubes showcase featuring Para One, Surkin, Orgasmic and Das Glow.
