The initial line-up for this summer's Beach Party series at the Water Taxi Beach has been announced.
As any New Yorker will tell you, partying is great—but partying on a man-made beach with muscle-bound weightlifters, bikini-clad ladies and music nerds is even better. That'll be the vibe on Saturday night this summer at the Water Taxi Beach, as the Long Island City venue opens its doors each week for $5 to all comers. Kicking off the festivities will be a rare performance from Detroit's Moodymann on June 28. I:Cube, Rich Medina, Omar-S and more will be appearing in subsequent weeks. The party starts at 8 sharp with opening sets from resident DJs Justin Carter, DJ Probus, and The Brothers' Brothers.
