  • As a label, Permanent Vacation really lives up to its name—a home for easy, breezy, often tropical dance music that exudes vibes of leisure, holidaying and the joys of just whiling a day away. It's hard to think of a more apt track for all this than Eli Escobar's contribution to the Munich label's eighth compilation, which starts out as a deep house chugger with a lilting arp melody that curls and sways like a dancer's arm reaching for the sky. It's pleasant and uplifting, spilling over into slight euphoria once a New Order-style synth lead comes in and seals the deal. It's the kind of thing you'd play to end a garden party, or soundtrack the coming of night and the start of much more hedonistic activities.
